So… for the entire summer (and fall)… you guys have been freaking out to the VNDLSM remix of Rhianna’s “Umbrella.” Usually, I’d be ashamed of this such a thing. However, with this remix, there was simply no way to deny it’s charms.
Well, we sent the boys an invitation to come play Decatur Social Club and they gracefully accepted. Little any of us know what we were getting into.
They came here with many stories of past gigs, more than one involving trashed hotel rooms. I now realized that these guys were staying in my house for almost a week. Would it suffer the same fate.
However, it is now Wednesday at 3pm, and the guys have just woken up and we’re kinda all piecing last night together. The past few days have included marathon Halo 3 and Guitar Hero sessions. Olympic binge drinking started last night.. including a stop at the infamous Clermont Lounge… the oldest strip club in Atlanta (with the oldest strippers in Atlanta). Now, we still have to make it through MJQ tonight and a house party Thursday, before we even get to their performance at Decatur Social Club.
I think we’ll be OK. I just heard them discussing hangover cures and then Keith said “Dude, I am so ready to party tonight.”
