You might ask… “Why does The Toxic Avenger wear the mask?” It’s quite simple actually. The first time he played live, he melted his own face off. Ever since, he’s played with a mask to protect himself… although that does little to protect the unsuspecting people in the crowd. We’ve heard in addition to face melting, that men have had their balls rocked off and women have had their boobs bounced so furiously while dancing, that they were four inches lower at the end of the show.
This is what we’re all about at KISSATLanta.com. So, we’re puling out our fire-resistant suits and protective gear this Saturday in anticipation for The Toxic Avenger’s first ever US tour and Atlanta appearance. We figured since they’re coming all the way from Paris, France… we’d make it one massive party and invite a bunch of our friends to play with them.
Needless to say, it’s going to be an awesome night of talent with Judi Chicago and One Hand Loves The Other providing their live services. We’ll also have Treasure Fingers, Black Sunshine, and myself (Preston Craig) DJ’ing from open to close and any gaps in between.
I’ve gone and collected a mega-pack of The Toxic Avenger originals and remixes for you to listen to before the show. I’m also including a very exclusive and unreleased remix of Snowden’s “Kill The Power.” The Toxic Avenger did this mix for us a while back and Jordan has given me the green light to set it loose in the wild. preston this is a question yo, what’s up with the Toxic Avenger and his ATL link. Obviously there’s the snowden and le castle vania remixes. But on Oct18th he was on a bill at “RebelNYC” with DeerHunter, Le CastleVania, and Klever and it was put on in part by Fin Socialites.
i had no idea the fin socialites were even up in nyc. Granted I guess that was an Atlanta in NYC CMJ thing but what’s all the connections going on here?
Preston I love you. This looks to be the best show of the year: Judi & One Hand are amazing and I’ve been a Toxic fan forevars now.
That was a CMJ show… when it comes to conventions you’re going to see Atlanta names popping up a lot. I’d dare say some major parties going down at SXSW and WMC will have Atlanta names backing them.
