Wow, how exciting is today. Not only did I find out that my song “Poppin’ Bottles” hit Billboard for the week of 3/7 – #5 song on “Breakouts For Hot Dance Club Play”!! – but I am back writing for Kissatlanta.com. I took a brief hiatus while Preston went through a little I hate electro phase, but now he’s come back around. I said I would only come back for a pay raise and a corner office – after long and hard negotiations we settled on no pay and the home office I was using before. Wait, what?
I love you Preston
In any case, here is my first post as a rejoined member of the KA team (though I don’t think I ever really left).
Edmonton’s KreeYate sent over two tracks that toe the line between electro and something a touch more mainstream. They’ve actually had a track already signed by Pete Tong and are trying to get further exposure with some new tunes. They are hot. Really, I can’t stop listening to them. The potential versatility here is amazing. “Wobble Gobble” covers everything from rap vocal stabs to piano lines to proggy main line synths while “I Like To Party!” follows a bit of the same format but harps on a couple key loops to really bang it out. The end product is slick, incredibly clean and…I want to play it out, now.

YAY!
