So, the other day many people on Facebook and Twitter freaked out over this little update:
since when did Dekalb PD get crunk? www.dekalbpolice.com … every page has a different crunk banger playing. wtf
The story started when a friend of mine, Mikey, sent me a link to the DeKalb Police department’s website… remarking over the different (seemingly) homemade crunk loops playing on every page of the website. I mean it was almost so ridiculous that I couldn’t help but to think it was a joke some hacker had slipped in. However, it was just one of those amateur web designer projects that internet meme dreams are made of.
Well, the story continues and gets MUCH more funny.
ytcracker… nerdcore rapper, hacker, and founder of Digital Gangster (you can thank that board and it’s members for the hack of Miley Cyrus)… went and recorded an entire album based on the music from the DPD website. Even more impressive, he did it in less than 10 hours, it’s profanity free, and the lyrics are fucking hillarious. My favorite, hands down, is “executive_command.html”
Here is a repost from ytcracker’s website:

this PROFANTITY FREE 6 track album was written, recorded, and produced in less than 10 hours. cross my heart, hope to die, stick needles in my eye, swear on everything.
HOW IT ALL BEGAN:
slight update that i need to make here: rmk invisioned that i would do an album to this the moment he visited the site. he was right.
my friend mikey pasted me a link in skype to this police department’s site -
EVERY page on this website was filled with the most banging beats i had ever heard. whoever picked these beats for this website seriously needs to be an a&r for a major record label.
i decided to make a concept album using some of the hot beats on these pages and creating a backstory for the song based on what information was on the page. the songs are all named after the .html you can find the beat and story on.

no loops on the . com today. the executive_command track loop sounds a lot like “i’ll be around” by the spinners. so much so, it basically is the track.
HILARIOUS! Who actually made the beats? The police??
The tracks aren’t on the site today.
yeah the backing music was originally on the dekalb pd site… but as soon as this got out, they pulled the music off the site.
doesn’t matter though, we got the goodie goods nao!!1one!!1
