So, the first night of Eastern Bloc is finally upon us. Tonight, we launch our most ambitious project: An East Atlanta pub crawl with three clubs, tons of deejays, three different styles… all for one FIVE DOLLAR wristband. Furthermore, being the value conscious people we are, we’re making it FREE before Midnight for those of you who might need a few more dollars to spend on booze.
We figured we’d give you a little heads up on how things are going to go down tonight, so you can get the most out of your night.
1) Bring cash. If you’re going to move around between three bars, you don’t want to have to have multiple tabs laying around. Even if you set up a tab at the main bar you’re hanging out at, you’ll probably want to walk around and maybe have a drink at one of the other two rooms.
2) Get your wristbands at the Bodega Nights ice cream truck. It should be parked right in front of The Graveyard. Ryan and Lindsey will be there to provide you with wristbands, ice cream, snacks, and drinks.
3) Room configuration:
- The Graveyard Tavern: Preston Craig and Skooter. Graveyard was originally going to be all electro and house, but we’ve changed out minds and we’ve decided to make the room more eclectic. Consider this room kinda like the main event every week. We’ll be playing the best of dance music regardless of style.
- Cenci: Asagi, DJ Sky, and Cullen Cole. Hosted by Ian Ford. I’m really excited about Cenci. Hip Hop, Funk, and Deep House all night long. The atmosphere and layout of this place is just wonderful. For the first night, we’re just using the upstairs to make a more intimate experience, but in the next few weeks, we’ll be opening both floors.
- The Glenwood: Farzad and William. The Glenwood is being transformed a bit. We’re ripping out the tables to make room for dancing and hanging out. Farzad (of 88.5 fame) and William will be playing the best in Indie, Rock, Brit Pop, and the like. For those of you who don’t like the newer more electronic stuff… this room was made just for you. Glenwood also has an amazing outdoor patio for when you need to get away from all the music for a second.
Make your way down to Glenwood Ave tonight and make sure you say hi to me if you see me!
- Preston Craig

Typically the truck will be parked in front of The GraveyardThere you will find the wristbands for access to three bars where Eastern Bloc is held. Cost = $5! Its a steal of a deal, trust me. From there you can venture on to any of the three bars, all with different genres of music for whatever suits your taste. More Info Here [...]
